SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: Aptech Limited, a pioneer in vocational education and digital learning solutions, has tied up with the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) to provide world-class film education and build skilled talent in India’s fast-growing Media & Entertainment (M&E) and AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality) industry. FTII, which has a legacy and rich tradition in filmmaking, will also benefit from Aptech’s extensive reach across the country. Three different programs have been developed to help build skills in these fields. The FTII Workshops & Micro-Credentials provide specialist skills through workshops delivered at Aptech centres. A two-month certification program has been developed with Aptech and FTII, focusing on those students interested in working in VFX and 3D animation. Finally, the Co-Curated Joint Certification Programme will take place in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru, combining vocational training with a two-month on-site placement at FTII’s centre in Pune. Students will produce a short film under mentorship and have opportunities for internships. Sandip Weling (Whole-time Director & CBO), Abir Aich (EVP) from Aptech and Santosh Ojha (Head of Strategy) from FTII all emphasised how this partnership will bring together digital skills with traditional storytelling techniques. This will benefit animators, filmmakers and digital creators by helping them develop strong portfolios.
