News Desk, News Nation 360 : For the past 68 years, Children's Book Trust (www.childrensbooktrust.com), a pioneering Indian publisher of children's books with its headquarters in New Delhi, has been assiduously seeking out new markets and expansion prospects. With an emphasis on Eastern and North Eastern states like West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, and Assam, the children's publisher has launched an aggressive marketing campaign under its "Look East Policy." According to an internal survey, parents and their kids are still willing to purchase and read books in these states. Robinder Nath Sachdeva, Trustee, Children’s Book Trust while addressing the media stated that given the positive feedback from the fairs here and the results of our internal survey, CBT is considering setting up bookstores with kid-friendly activities in well-known Eastern Indian cities. In addition to physical exercises and enjoyable activities, the goal is to divert kids from excessive mobile phone use by exposing them to good literature that reflects Indian cultural and moral values. Children's Book Trust (CBT) sets out on a major expansion in Eastern and North Eastern India, starting with its first appearance at the Asansol Book Fair. The events include important exhibitions and participation at the 48th International Kolkata Book Fair and the 52nd New Delhi World Book Fair. At a presentation in Kolkata, CBT Trustee, Robinder Nath Sachdeva and Lead Strategist, Rana Siddiqui Zaman disclosed their aggressive outreach marketing campaign geared towards making it easier for all children in this region to connect with books more easily. That includes aggressive efforts to reach all libraries and all schools. In a nutshell, CBT will also seek innovative ways and means of presenting its books so that reading is more engaging and enriching for young minds. It will actively participate in major book fairs and implement the design of reaching out in a more targeted manner across Eastern and Northeast India to enhance children's literature reach significantly.
