News Desk, News Nation 360: The 6th edition of the Dance Bridges Festival is taking place across Kolkata from August 20 to August 24, 2026, curated by Artistic Director Vanessa Mirza (UK/India) around the central theme ‘Converging Identities’ to showcase international and Indian contemporary dance performances, residencies, workshops, and dance film screenings. Following an opening evening at Gyan Manch featuring prominent pieces such as ‘Alleo’ (Colectivo Glovo,

Spain), ‘We are not beautiful’ (Laura Kenyon, UK), ‘Waiting Music’ (Dom Czapski, UK), and ‘Meeting Point’ (Chen Yu-Chi, Taiwan), the five-day celebration brings together artists from across Spain, France, Italy, Canada, the UK, Taiwan, Brazil, India, Cyprus, Ukraine, Nigeria, Tunisia, Bangladesh, and Denmark across diverse theatres, galleries, and site-specific venues, culminating in new collaborative works developed under the international Dance Bridges Festival Residency project led by Chen Yu-Chi and Laura.
