News Desk, News Nation 360 : Godrej Agrovet Limited has launched a new range of innovative multi-crop insecticides, christened TAKAI, containing powerful Cyclapryn™ technology by ISK Japan, to effectively tackle Lepidopteran insects such as Caterpillars. In West Bengal, Rice Stem Borers and Leaf Folders can result in a 40% loss of crop yield. TAKAI stops insect feeding and provides long-lasting protection. TAKAI has already received approval for Rice, Maize, Chickpea, and Soybean crops and is awaiting approval for Cabbage and Chilli crops. Rice is a multi-season crop for West Bengal and is a critical crop for the region. The company recommends a 160 ml dosage of TAKAI during the vegetative and reproductive stages of 15-30 and 40-60 days, respectively, to protect and promote crop growth. This is a continuation of their effort to introduce innovative products such as the herbicide for Maize crops, ASHITAKA, launched last year. By providing farmers with tools to optimise costs and produce better quality crops, they aim to strengthen West Bengal's "Rice Bowl" economy. N.K. Rajavelu, CEO of the Crop Protection Business, stated that, "TAKAI is an integral part of our vision to empower farmers and farming families across West Bengal and beyond by providing farmers with timely and effective tools to tackle crop pests and diseases. This is a part of our effort to create a sustainable and productive agricultural ecosystem for farmers and consumers across India."
