News Desk, News Nation 360 : Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd is pleased to report that the Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP) has given the New Nissan Magnite a 5-star overall safety rating. As part of Nissan Motor India's "One Car, One World" strategy for RHD and LHD markets, the New Nissan Magnite is produced at the Chennai plant and exported to more than 65 countries. After GNCAP assessed the New Nissan Magnite (RHD) specification, which is available in both South Africa and India, it obtained a perfect 5-star rating for adult safety and a 3-star rating for child safety, totalling a 5-star rating for passenger safety. Commenting on the achievement, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, stated that they are thrilled that the new Nissan Magnite, which is made in India, has a 5-star safety rating. Their engineering strategy is still centred on safety, which demonstrates their commitment to giving their clients safe, dependable, technologically sophisticated cars. Nissan is still dedicated to producing and selling the best and safest automobiles in India for both local and international markets in accordance with their One Car, One World philosophy. The New Nissan Magnite, which debuted in October 2024, has been thoroughly and aggressively tested for safety, covering adult occupant protection, child safety, and safety assist features and has shown exemplary performance in all categories and testifying to its solid build quality and advanced safety design to protect all passengers. It features a strengthened body structure with 67% high tensile strength steel (>440Mpa) and provides more than 40 standard safety features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), brake assist, and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). In addition, all versions come equipped with three-point seatbelts on every seat, seatbelt reminders, child locks, ISOFIX mounting points for child seats, and rear parking sensors as standard across all versions, adding occupant security and convenience. The vehicle complies with tight Global NCAP crash tests on frontal, side impact, ESC, and with better star ratings on pedestrian and side pole impact protection. With over 55 safety features in total and 20+ first-in-segment innovations, and its aggressive, stylish appearance, the New Nissan Magnite becomes a very safe and feature-packed compact SUV option for customers who value safety along with comfort.
