Updated: Sep 1

News Desk, News Nation 360 : One of the first domestically produced vertical format-only micro-drama mobile entertainment applications in India, TukTuki, made its formal debut recently, showcasing short, family-friendly drama series aimed at viewers nationwide. TukTuki capitalises on this trend with its own micro-drama model, which offers an hour-long movie in vertically oriented, densely packed 1–3 minute episodes meant to be viewed quickly and while on the go. By fusing the ease of mobile consumption with the allure of traditional storytelling, TukTuki creates entertainment that is both approachable and captivating. With a hyperlocal strategy, a strong emphasis on accessibility, and performances by gifted actors, the platform promises top-notch narratives that honour India's diversity and revolutionise the way viewers watch drama on mobile devices. Anshita Kulshreshtha, Founder of TukTuki Entertainment, stated that TukTuki is more than just an app; it’s a celebration of India’s cultural diversity and storytelling spirit. Their goal is to bring authentic, relatable, and wholesome entertainment to viewers in every corner of the nation. Original short-form drama material will be available on TukTuki in Hindi, with plans to soon include Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and other languages. The videos will have a clean, family-friendly vibe while reflecting local customs and daily life. Sports and mythology are among the new categories and genres that will be added in future releases. TukTuki breaks down barriers for first-time app users in smaller cities and towns by enabling viewers to stream content without required logins in an effort to make entertainment more accessible.
