News Desk, News Nation 360 : At a press conference in Kolkata, Lalit Kala Akademi, the National Academy of Art, New Delhi, announced the 3rd Print Biennale India 2026. In the presence of Dr. Nand Lal Thakur, Vice Chairman of Lalit Kala Akademi, the Third Print Biennale Commissioner C. S. Krishna Setty spoke at the event alongside the members of the Steering Committee, which included Hanuman Kambli, Vijay Bagodi, R. M. Palaniappan, Dattatreya Apte, and Ananda Moy Banerji. The third India International Print Biennale is to be organised in Kolkata, after the success of previous editions in New Delhi and Mumbai. The event will offer a global platform for contemporary printmaking, inviting professional artists from India and overseas. Artists can submit a maximum of three original prints made after 2022, employing any traditional or modern print technique, meeting specified size criteria. The participation fee is $50 for foreign artists, ₹1500 for SAARC/ASEAN nation participants, and ₹1000 for Indian participants. The last date for sending artworks to New Delhi is October 31, 2025. A two-level International Jury will choose the artworks for exhibition and awards, consisting of five Grand Prizes of ₹2,00,000 each and Honourable Mentions. The chosen works will be exhibited in January 2026 in a new Kolkata building, with the potential for the show to tour other Indian cities.
