SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI), in partnership with Reelo, will host a dedicated Learning & Development (L&D) session titled ‘Stop Renting Customers: Build Growth Beyond Discounts & Aggregators’ on May 14, 2026, in Kolkata. Addressing the industry's increasing dependence on third-party platforms and the margin pressures of discount-led growth, the event focuses on transitioning toward sustainable business models rooted in customer retention, loyalty, and direct engagement. A centrepiece of the session is a fireside chat between Rahul Singh, Founder & CEO of The Beer Cafe, and Parin Sanghvi, Founder of Reelo, who will discuss strategies for building long-term brand recall and repeat consumer behaviour outside the aggregator ecosystem. Piyush Kankaria, NRAI Kolkata Chapter Head, noted that the initiative aims to empower over 180 restaurant owners and marketers with the tools to prioritise customer ownership and profitability. The session will take place at Desi Lane, Topsia, starting at 5 PM, as part of NRAI’s ongoing commitment to fostering knowledge-sharing and resilience within the Indian restaurant community.
