News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently, Anant National University held DesignEdX, a half-day colloquium in Kolkata devoted to reinventing education through design thinking. 45 educators, thought leaders, and changemakers from 35 prestigious schools in and around Kolkata attended the conclave, which was organised by Anant's Centre of Design Education (CODE) and led by Dr. Anunaya Chaubey. CODE’s DesignEdX organised a conclave in Kolkata titled ‘Design Thinking in Education: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities’, which saw participation from prominent schools including Lakshmipat Singhania Academy International, Shri Shikshayatan School, Modern High School International, The Heritage School, RP Goenka International School and Sushila Birla Girls School. The conclave aimed to inspire and equip educators with Design Thinking principles to turn classroom challenges into innovative solutions and to build long-term collaborations within the education sector. The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Chaubey on integrating design thinking in education, followed by a panel discussion on incorporating Indigenous Knowledge Systems in modern education and an interactive workshop with school principals and educators focusing on systemic change. DesignEdX is presented as a movement dedicated to creating future-ready schools by providing educators with tools for creative problem-solving and innovation. Through collaborations, it seeks

to empower education stakeholders across India and internationally towards a design-enabled future. These conclaves emphasise the importance of design in schools to unlock the creative potential of young people for global challenges and align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020's vision of integrating design pedagogy. DesignEdX reinforces Anant’s commitment to transforming education and shaping a sustainable future through interdisciplinary learning and meaningful collaborations.
