GNIT Launches New AICTE-IDEA Lab

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Haranjit Singh, Joint Managing Director, JIS Group; and Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, officially opened a cutting-edge AICTE-IDEA Lab (Idea Development, Evaluation and Application Lab) at Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT), a JIS Group Educational Initiative. In addition to renowned academicians, teachers, students, and representatives from the industry, the event was attended by Prof. Swarup Kumar Mitra, Principal of GNIT, and Prof. Tapas Chakraborty, Vice Chancellor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). GNIT, a Kolkata-based educational institution under the JIS Group banner, launched its state-of-the-art AICTE IDEA Lab. The AICTE IDEA Lab is a centralised facility designed to transform engineering education in India. The facility aims to enable students and teachers alike to implement their ideas and quickly prototype their creations. The AICTE IDEA Lab boasts cutting-edge industrial equipment such as a CNC router, laser cutting machine, 3D scanners, and 3D printers. The facility also boasts highly advanced computers for AI and ML development. The AICTE IDEA Lab aligns perfectly with the NEP 2020 and other government initiatives such as Make in India. The AICTE IDEA Lab is more than just a workshop for students. It serves as a startup incubator for students who want to solve real-world socio-economic issues practically. The AICTE IDEA Lab was inaugurated by Sardar Taranjit Singh, MD of JIS Group. This launch signifies the JIS Group’s commitment to providing industry-grade facilities for its students. The AICTE IDEA Lab at GNIT in Kolkata serves as a safe space for students and professionals to experiment and innovate. The AICTE IDEA Lab puts GNIT at the forefront of product development and skill development in Eastern India.
