Now, Assam residents can pay various dues like property tax, land revenue, sales tax, VAT, and professional tax. Apart from these, Assam residents can also pay non-tax dues like examination fees and penalties. This facility has been introduced to provide ease of doing business. Now, Assam residents can make these payments 24x7 through net banking, credit cards, and UPI. Moreover, the system has been designed to provide the highest level of security with the mandatory implementation of two-factor authentication. Residents who prefer to make these payments through physical mode can now do so through the bank's 109 branches in Assam. The bank has enabled the “Payment Across Bank Counter” facility for Assam residents. Now, residents can make these payments through cash or cheques. Apart from these, the bank will also accept cheques and demand drafts from other banks for these government receipts. This partnership is a significant step towards the development of Assam. With the bank having nearly 500 bank outlets in Assam, the partnership with the e-GRAS portal is a significant development for the residents of Assam.
