Dalmia Bharat Plans to Expand its Cement Capacity in Maharashtra and Karnataka by 6 MnTPA

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Dalmia Bharat Limited, to increase its presence and achieve its vision of being 75 MnTPA by FY28 and 110-130 MnT by 2031, has made a strategic investment of Rs 3,520 Crores in Karnataka and Maharashtra by setting up a 3.6 MnTPA clinker plant and a 3 MnTPA grinding plant in its own existing Belgaum plant at Karnataka, in addition to an upcoming 3 MnTPA greenfield split grinding plant in Pune, Maharashtra, by investing funds in the form of debt as well as internal accruals, to double its overall installed capacity to 55.5 MnTPA in Q4 FY27, subject to ongoing capacity expansions already underway in the States of Assam and Bihar; the Belgaum Grinding Unit will be serving the Southern Maharashtra markets, to penetrate the regional markets further, while the Pune Grinding Unit will have target markets which are still untapped in Western Maharashtra markets, going further towards being a PAN India company. Speaking on the development, Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director & CEO, Dalmia Bharat Limited, stated that their Phase II expansion strategy has advanced significantly with this investment, which will help them achieve their interim goal of 75 MnT capacity by FY28 and solidify their position as a pan-India operator. Their production capacity has increased substantially to satisfy Western India's expanding infrastructure needs.
