News Desk, News Nation 360 : While many people often "reset" their exercise regimens by joining gyms or starting new diets, dental care is rarely given the same critical assessment. Dr Sonia Datta, MDS, PhD, a professor of public health dentistry, is drawing attention to this disparity by noting that, despite changing lifestyles and health needs, childhood brushing habits often remain unchanged for decades. The brand Dabur Red Paste has partnered with prominent dentists such as Dr Sonia Datta to organise a health campaign in April 2026 due to the global negligence towards oral hygiene relative to general physical fitness. The campaign stresses the importance of oral health as the most prevalent but overlooked non-communicable health issue. Early oral health problems, such as plaque formation and tooth erosion, often go unnoticed until they progress to serious complications like dental caries and gum disease. To tackle this dilemma, the campaign endorses the integration of traditional Ayurveda and contemporary dentistry, emphasising natural substances such as Clove (antibacterial) and Shunthi (anti-inflammatory). In addition to being a highly efficacious product, Dabur Red Paste also bears the Indian Dental Association (IDA) Seal of Acceptance. The campaign advises consumers to prioritise oral hygiene as a "non-negotiable" aspect of their health routine by maintaining consistent oral hygiene habits like brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and scheduling regular dental consultations.
