News Desk, News Nation 360 : Fortis Healthcare has started a statewide helmet safety campaign to promote road safety and prevent preventable emergencies caused by two-wheeler accidents. The idea was successfully implemented at numerous Fortis locations across India, in close conjunction with the appropriate local traffic police departments. As part of the initiative, Fortis Hospital Anandapur provided approximately 100 branded helmets and First Aid pamphlets to two-wheeler riders who were spotted riding without helmets at high-traffic junctions near its hospitals. To ensure a smooth and impactful experience, a custom-designed kiosk was placed near high-traffic areas, closer to hospital facilities. Amoresh Bose, OC, Kasba Traffic Guard, inaugurated the event. Talking about the helmet distribution drive, Dr Ritu Garg, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer, Fortis Healthcare, stated that their major goal with this campaign is to increase awareness about the critical role helmets play in saving lives. With this program, they hope to remind motorcyclists that a simple precaution can avoid life-altering injuries. Fortis hopes that by participating in this initiative, they will reach a large audience across cities and emphasise the importance of responsible riding. The campaign demonstrates the organisation's long-standing dedication to public safety and proactive healthcare engagement. Fortis remains committed to improving community well-being and emergency preparation. two-wheeler riders and briefly talked with them to underline how life-saving a helmet can be. This project is part of Fortis Healthcare's statewide helmet campaign, in collaboration with local traffic police, which has handed over 1,500 branded helmets and first-aid books to high-traffic crossroads near Fortis hospitals across India. By encouraging safe riding habits and reducing preventable emergencies, the drive reinforces the campaign's core values of preparedness, timely response, and compassionate care, as well as Fortis' reputation as a trusted emergency and trauma-care partner whose commitment extends beyond hospital walls into everyday community life.
