SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : In honour of World Patient Safety Day, Fortis Hospital Anandapur hosted a special seminar on "Safe Care for Newborn and Child." The initiative's goal was to increase carers', educators', and parents' understanding of the importance of creating a safer, healthier, and happier future for kids. More than 100 parents and carers participated in the workshop, which was led by Dr Sumita Saha, Consultant-Neonatologist & Paediatrician, Fortis Hospital, Anandapur. Speaking about the initiative, Dr Sumita Saha, Consultant Neonatologist & Paediatrician, Fortis Hospital, Anandapur, stated that the most valuable members of every family and society are the children. It is everyone's collective duty to ensure their safety at home, in schools, and in the community. This program was created to give parents and other carers useful information that might reduce preventable hazards and enhance kids' general wellbeing. For a full day, the program gathered together prominent professionals, including emergency medicine specialists, paediatricians, neonatologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and teachers. By means of lectures, panel discussions, and live demonstrations, the workshops addressed crucial facets of child safety and care. A balanced diet for developing children, the role of teachers in promoting children's physical and mental health, early detection and prevention of mental health issues, and newborn and toddler safety at home were the main topics of discussion. Hand hygiene, choking control, and Basic Life Support (BLS) demonstrations gave learners the essential skills they needed to react in an emergency.
