News Desk, News Nation 360: The JIS Group's dedication to institutional research excellence and innovation-driven healthcare education was reaffirmed with the opening of Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research's (GNIDSR) cutting-edge DST-FIST Laboratory at its Kolkata campus. Prof. Ajay Kumar Ray, Director of the JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research, and Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, officially opened the prestigious facility. Prominent academic and administrative figures, such as GNIDSR Principal Prof. (Dr.) J. Bhattacharyya, JIS University Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar and JIS University Pro-Chancellor Dr Neeraj Saxena attended the historic event along with a group of dental experts, researchers, and students. The recently built lab, which is funded by the Department of Science and Technology's FIST program, has extremely advanced research tools, such as a Micro Vickers Hardness Tester, a precision 3D printer, and an advanced Spectrophotometer. These cutting-edge facilities are purposefully built to increase the capacity for structural research, hasten advances in biomaterials and complicated dental sciences, and stimulate interdisciplinary cooperation across scientific fields. The world-class infrastructure, according to Sardar Taranjit Singh, is designed to enable academics, students, and independent researchers to conduct high-impact scientific studies, ultimately addressing new issues in global healthcare and bolstering India's domestic innovation ecosystem.
