News Desk, News Nation 360 : In honour of World Diabetes Day, ILS Hospitals in Howrah hosted the Walkathon 2024, which drew over 200 eager participants who were all dedicated to fostering a healthy future. The walk began at ILS Hospitals in Howrah and went via important locations such as Salkia Flyover, Howrah Station Road, and Salkia School Road before returning to the hospital. In addition to holding banners with diverse messages on diabetes awareness and prevention, participants carried digital candles as a symbol of their common resolve to eradicate diabetes. Together with Dr Mohua Golder (COO), Debashis Dhar, Group Vice President-Business Development, ILS Hospitals, officially opened the event. Debashis Dhar, Group Vice President, Business Development, ILS Hospitals stated that the subject for this year, "Diabetes and Well-Being," emphasises the significance of social, physical, and emotional well-being as well as the critical role that community support plays in managing and preventing diabetes. The goal of Walkathon 2024 is to increase public awareness of diabetes in society by highlighting the need for lifelong care and the priceless support that families offer. They recognise and value the part families play in promoting healthy lifestyles and battling this illness.
