India's Festive Season Began with Flipkart's Big Billion Days

Early access to the event starts on September 26 for Flipkart VIP and Plus subscribers. The debut of the event took place on September 27. The cumulative number of user visits on Flipkart during Early Access and Day 1 was above 33 crore, indicating the joyous mood of Indian buyers. Preliminary indicators point to a bright celebration season, with rising demand in the categories of mobiles, food and nutrition, and grooming. TBBD 2024 shows strong customer demand across categories like mobile, Electronics, Fashion, and Beauty, with high interest from metro and non-metro regions. Gen Z favoured trendy styles like Baggy Bottoms and Co-ord Sets. Engagement surged on Flipkart features like Brand Mall and FlipInTrends, while Shopsy saw a 2.8X

jump in transactions. Video and Live Commerce hit record viewership with a 25X spike in purchases. Cleartrip saw 3X growth in air bookings, and Flipkart Minutes gained traction in cities like Mumbai and Delhi. Payment solutions like Flipkart Pay Later EMI saw an 8.5X rise, and over 75% of sellers experienced significant growth in orders. Speaking on the 11th edition of The Big Billion Days, Harsh Chaudhary, Vice President - Growth, Flipkart, stated that The Big Billion Days is an annual event in India that ushers in the holiday season and unites the entire ecosystem in celebration. This is more than simply a shopping festival—it's a chance to support development, creativity, and teamwork on a national level, all while having a good effect on the lives of many communities. Flipkart has paved the way for India's digital transformation, with The Big Billion Days serving as a major catalyst. They are pushing the envelope of what is possible and establishing new benchmarks for customer happiness and commercial success by strengthening their relationships with ecosystem partners and customers.
