SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: With the introduction of Vatika Bio Infusions, Dabur India Ltd. has broadened its luxury hair care line under the Vatika brand, upending the consumer market with India's first 'No Added Salt' shampoo line supported by scientific transparency. In the commercial shampoo sector, sodium chloride (added salt) is typically used as an affordable thickening agent despite consumer concerns about its ability to dry out hair fibres. The new product line is expressly designed to break long-held category conventions. Instead, the novel formula combines advanced cosmetic actives like a Plant Biotin Complex, Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid with globally sourced natural ingredients like Moroccan Argan, Spanish Olives, Tuscan Rosemary, and Ginseng to provide deep hydration, targeted volume, and structural repair. Supported by an integrated omnichannel marketing campaign featuring actress Ayesha Khan and prominent creators like Parul Gulati and Isha Malviya, the brand launched a comprehensive trial strategy that includes extensive retail distribution in over 500 Reliance stores, an educational ingredient portal called ‘The Vatikan’, experiential pop-ups at major cultural youth events, and a viral quick-commerce activation where Blinkit users received physical packets of cooking salt alongside their shampoo orders to spark direct public conversations around formulation honesty. This launch, according to Group Product Manager Gurdatar Singh Ryait and Category Head Avtej Sawhney, represents a significant turning point in the evolution of the heritage Vatika brand, transforming it from a traditional herbal brand into a clean-label, scientifically supported powerhouse that clearly satisfies contemporary consumer demands for ingredient disclosure and holistic care.
