Kolkata Ratna, Pride of Kolkata, and Best of Kolkata Awards for 2025

News Desk, News Nation 360 : For the first time, a private organisation known as 'Gitanjali' awarded the 'Kolkata Ratna' honour to six people, the 'Pride of Kolkata' to ten people, and the 'Best of Kolkata' in Kolkata. Photographer Anupam Halder, Dr. Subimal Das, physician Arindam Biswas, former footballer Prashanta Banerjee, cricket administrator Sambaran Banerjee, singer Agniva Banerjee, actress Tanusree Chakraborty, Sudarshan Chakraborty, and Suranjan Pal have all received the 'Pride of Kolkata' Award. In contrast, 'Uttar Kolkata Udoyer Pathe' received the 'Best of Kolkata'

award as a Kolkata club organisation. All awardees received a bouquet, a trophy, and a citation. According to Subrata Sinha on behalf of Gitanjali, the recipients of this year's 'Kolkata Ratna' are world-renowned magician P. C. Sorcar (Junior), educationist and writer Dr. Pabitra Sarkar, Dr. M. P. Rosario, singer Lopamudra Mitra, actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty, and actress and dancer Mamata Shankar. After receiving the 'Pride of Kolkata' award on stage today, photographer Anupam Halder stated that he is overjoyed to be honoured on the same stage as so many prominent Kolkata residents. Undoubtedly, this prize, like others, will motivate him to strive in new ways.
