News Desk, News Nation 360 : To enable the Indian medical industry to reach new heights of innovation, Lubrizol, a world leader in speciality chemicals, and Polyhose, a world leader in fluid conveyance systems, inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Signed in front of Tamil Nadu's Industries Secretary V Arun Roy and Minister for Industries Dr. T.R.B. After the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, Lubrizol leadership paid a visit to Thiru.N. Muruganandam, the IAS Chief Secretary for Tamil Nadu. Lubrizol's cutting-edge medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and other thermoplastic polymers, which provide biocompatibility and excellent performance while guaranteeing patient comfort, will be used to make the medical tubing. The new production plant will adhere to ISO 13485, guaranteeing premium, safe medical tubing. Lubrizol, in partnership with Polyhose, plans to build a medical manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu and is on its way to quintuple Lubrizol's local medical tubing volume. It aims to make life-saving medical tubing more accessible both within India and via exports. Critical applications for medical tubing, including neurovascular and cardiovascular intervention, are expected for balloon catheters and minimally invasive procedure catheters from this quality medical tubing joint endeavour. Over the past year, Lubrizol has significantly invested in India by allocating over USD 350 million. Of late, they inaugurated a Global Capability Center in Pune and also acquired a 120-acre land parcel in Aurangabad to construct their largest facility in India and the second largest globally. This vast facility will service the booming transport and industrial sectors in this region. Lubrizol is building the first phase of a 100,000 metric-ton CPVC resin plant at Vilayat in Gujarat. The site will be the world's largest single-site CPVC resin production capacity. This initiative will cater to the rapidly growing demand for CPVC piping solutions and clean drinking water in India and the surrounding countries. Lubrizol is doubling its CPVC compound manufacturing capacity at Dahej, Gujarat. This Lubrizol-Polyhose joint venture taps into Lubrizol's significant Indian footprint to fulfil the needs of Indian customers as well as export markets. A local-for-local approach allows for a collaborative partnership and leads to closely designed products, consistent supply, quick turnaround times, and effective technical support for Indian OEMs. Lubrizol's cutting-edge medical-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and other thermoplastic polymers, which provide biocompatibility and excellent performance while guaranteeing patient comfort, will be used to make the medical tubing.
