SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : Medica Superspecialty Hospital (a Manipal Hospitals Group affiliate) commemorated World Environment Day with a passionate endeavour to acknowledge the unsung heroes of Kolkata Municipality's Ward No. 109, who quietly contribute to keeping the city clean. Ananya Banerjee, Councillor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (Ward 109), attended an event at the hospital's EM Bypass campus to recognise sanitation workers who work tirelessly throughout the year to keep the neighbourhood clean and healthy. The event also included a special felicitation ceremony and interactive sessions with sanitation workers. Members of the local community came together to show their gratitude and pledge continuing environmental stewardship. Speaking on the occasion, hospital spokesperson Ananya Banerjee stated that this World Environment Day serves as a reminder that a clean and sustainable environment is essential for a healthy lifestyle. She was happy to learn about Manipal Hospitals' initiative to recognise Ward No. 109's unsung hygiene heroes. It is an admirable and conscientious step towards creating a cleaner future. Just as a hospital prioritises hygiene as a vital value for healing, these frontline sanitation workers are the quiet protectors of the community's health. Such projects would not be possible without the unwavering support of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, whose role remains critical in developing a healthier Kolkata.
