News Desk, News Nation 360 : Monoshij, the mental health initiative founded by Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhary, Co-chairperson of Techno India Group, organised a special mental well-being workshop titled Project Shakti - Fortifying The Force Through Psychological First Aid for Bidhannagar Police personnel at the Techno India campus. The session was attended by distinguished visitors such as Ishan Sinha, IPS, Asst. Commissioner of Police, South Bidhannagar, Ramnarayan Pal, IC, Electronics Complex, and Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury, Founder of Monoshij and Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group. Police officers are frequently the first responders to accidents, crimes, and other disasters, giving them firsthand knowledge of trauma and mental suffering. Continuous exposure to these situations can hurt their mental health and ability to help others. Addressing this concern, Monoshij created the Psychological First-Aid to offer police officers realistic techniques for managing stress, providing effective mental support to those in distress, and maintaining emotional control during critical occasions. The initiative also showed how prioritising psychological well-being in police agencies can boost public trust, strengthen community ties, and foster a more humanitarian approach to policing. Ishan Sinha IPS, Asst. Commissioner of Police, South Bidhannagar, stated that Mental health in the police is a sensitive topic that many people may not comprehend. Our working hours are nothing. They are on call 24/7. So, as they all know, the work is really hectic. However, they occasionally seek the love and praise that they receive. Their Police Force values public gratitude and respect. So, he would want to congratulate Prof Manoshi Roy Chowdhury and the entire Monoshij team for creating something both unique and significant. Mental well-being is a topic that must be thoroughly examined in order to produce the best results. Most significantly, it should be part of the curriculum everywhere.
