News Desk, News Nation 360 : On Children's Day, Narula Institute of Technology celebrated the annual Inter-Institute Literary Festival, NiT-LiT, which honours childhood and literature as a potent combination that fosters creativity, empathy, and lifelong learning. In a spectacular celebration of words, ideas, and imagination, more than 800 people attended this year's event, including 350 schoolchildren and 450 college students. At the festival's big closing event, renowned thespian, award-winning dramatist, and author Chandan Sen graced the stage. For the young readers, his speech was a memorable experience that encouraged them to learn more about literature. The presence of Heads of Institutions (HOIs) from different schools in Kolkata enhanced the event's ambience even further. The literary events that NiT-LiT 2024 had planned included debate, JAM, creative writing, storytelling, recitation, skits, and interactive games that kept young minds interested. Aditya Academy Senior Secondary School, Dumdum Kishore Bharati, Barisha Janakalyan Vidyapith for Girls, Belgharia Jatindas School for Girls, Dumdum Shree Aravinda Vidyamandir, Kasba Jagadish Vidyapith for Girls, and Khardah Sibnath High School were among the prestigious schools that enthusiastically participated in the festival, with many of them winning multiple awards. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, stated that one of the best presents for young minds, according to JIS Group, is literature that stimulates creativity and curiosity. Narula Institute of Technology's NiT-LiT 2024 is a prime example of how literature can inspire, educate, and bridge gaps, fostering a generation of lifelong learners.
