News Desk. News Nation 360: In an effort to restore the custom of fresh stone grinding into contemporary Indian households, SOFTEL, a kitchenware company with over 35 years of manufacturing experience based in Ahmedabad, has introduced its small Ghar Ghanti (domestic flour mill). The device, which was unveiled on April 18, 2026, is made to fit easily on kitchen platforms while still having enough power to grind dry spices, wheat, and millets. With a capacity of 7.5 to 10 kg per hour and a very economical energy usage of just one unit per hour, the machine has a specialised stone grinding mechanism that maintains the inherent nutrition and flavour of grains. To cater to varying consumer needs, SOFTEL is offering the Ghar Ghanti in three variants: Fully Automatic, Semi-Automatic, and Manual. Managing Director Anil Kumar Jain emphasised that the launch aims to make "honest food a daily habit," positioning fresh grinding as a foundational step toward better health. Built with a 1 HP copper-winded motor and an estimated stone life of 10–12 years, the product is now available at major retailers and e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Rasoi Shop, priced approximately between Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 18,000 depending on the specific model and finish.
