SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: The food delivery service, Zomato has introduced a digital platform called PackSwitch, which intends to aid restaurants in switching from single-use plastics to eco-friendly food delivery solutions by identifying suitable packing materials for particular foods and linking them to a certified list of over 100 suppliers from across India, including its business-to-business partner Hyperpure. Launched in the presence of Accel India Founding Partner, Prashanth Prakash, the project is a part of Zomato's parent company Eternal's initiative "Plastic-Free Future," which has so far awarded more than 10,000 restaurants across 500+ cities and delivered over 100 million low-plastic orders. According to Anjali Ravi Kumar, Chief Sustainability Officer at Eternal, PackSwitch makes the process easier for commercial and operational decision-making, enabling restaurants to choose sustainable packaging options.
