News Desk, News Nation 360 : Nephro Care India Limited (NCIL), a multi-specialty healthcare provider funded by Deepak Parekh, has reported a 90.10 percent increase in standalone net profit to Rs 1.45 crore for the second half (H2) ended March 31, 2025, up from Rs 76 lakh in the same time previous year. Operating revenue on a standalone basis more than quadrupled to Rs 28.34 crore in H2FY25, compared to Rs 14.13 crore last year. For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, the firm achieved a substantial 69.04 per cent increase in its standalone operating profit, which stood at ₹46.03 crore versus ₹27.23 crore in the previous year. Its net profit, however, dropped 17.51 per cent to ₹3.64 crore from ₹4.41 crore in 2023-24. This decrease was mainly due to increased staff expenses for its multispecialty hospital, Vivacity, at Madhyamgram in Kolkata, with employee benefits expenses shooting up 251.38 per cent at ₹7.59 crore from ₹2.16 crore during the last year. Even so, the operating profit (EBITDA) of the company went up by almost 8.24 per cent to ₹7.40 crore in FY25 from ₹6.84 crore in FY24, even though its EBITDA reduced to 16.08 per cent in FY25 from 25.10 per cent in FY24 on account of higher staff costs. The diversified clinical and lifestyle solutions the company offers include renal insufficiency treatment with a wellness approach to life. For improving renal care accessibility and affordability, the firm is also working with the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, to create a prototype of a remotely controlled AI-based Smart Haemodialysis Machine, which is expected to decrease the price of these machines by 70-75 percent, from ₹7.5-8 lakh to around ₹2 lakh.
