
News Desk, News Nation 360 : With the help of Shyam Steel and Doctor's Choice, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Kolkata Chapter successfully concluded its premier cricket competition, NPL 3.0-NRAI Premier League. The Orchid Arena in Topsia has been a hive of activity for the past two weeks as the lively Food & Beverage (F&B) community gathered for a memorable fusion of sportsmanship, entertainment, and friendship. The third edition of the NPL (presumably a restaurant or food and beverage industry cricket league) was a resounding success, which was highlighted by the presence of former Indian cricketer Ashok Dinda as Chief Guest. Dinda's participation inspired attendees and added to the excitement of the tournament, as he interacted with players and spectators. One of the unique features of this year's NPL was the Staff Tournament, which aimed at creating bonding among the staff and owners who played together in the same teams. The event attracted over 400 participants, including restaurateurs, F&B professionals, and cricket enthusiasts. Team OG Steelbacks won the Owners League championship, while Team Wow! Momo emerged victorious in the Staff League. The award of Player of the Tournament to Players in the respective league went to Moosa Ahmed Khan of OG Steelbacks and Bappa Moira of Wow! Momo. Best Bowler was handed out to Himanshu Rohra of Scrapyard Super Kings and Best Batsman was taken by Shreyas Jhunjhunwala of LMNO_Q Vikings. Top scorer was, for the Owners League, handed out to Vedant Mimani of Ozorians. To Arun Bhaduri, also top score was recorded within the Staff League. Other than the cricketing action, NPL 3.0 gave a memorable experience with live performances, exciting fun activities, and a wide range of foodie delights from prominent brands like Wow Momo!, Wow! Chicken, Prime Residency, Chai Break, OG by The Lake, Olterra, The Roll Factory, Gupta Brothers, Wah Puchka Wah Litti, and KREAMZ. Besides, the event provided significant networking opportunities for restaurateurs and industry professionals who were reinforced with each other within the F&B community. Speaking on NPL 3.0 – NRAI Premier League, Sagar Daryani, NRAI President, stated that NPL 3.0 exemplified the lively spirit and teamwork that characterise the food and beverage sector. It's amazing to watch pros and restaurateurs unite not just to play cricket but also to celebrate their shared passions and cement their ties to the community. This occasion is a reminder that the spirit of cooperation and unity is essential to the advancement of the sector.
