Over 500 Young Innovators Compete in Eastern India's Largest Robotics Competition "Technoxian 2026"

News Desk, News Nation 360: Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology and Sports Complex (SurTech), a premier JIS Group institution located in Dum Dum, successfully hosted the TECHNOXIAN 2026 – East Zonal Competitions (the 10th Edition of the World Robotics Championship) in official partnership with the World Robotics Organisation (WORSO). Attracting over 500 participants across 100+ school and college contingents from Eastern India, the two-day robotics championship was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished dignitaries—including Shri Debdutta Guha (General Manager, MSME Technology Centre, Govt. of India), Raj Sharma (President, AICRA), Smt. Alka Sachdeva (Vice President, AICRA), Prof. (Dr.) Debasish De (MAKAUT), Sardar Taranjit Singh (Managing Director, JIS Group), and Prof. (Dr.) Saradindu Panda (Principal, SurTech). The event highlighted JIS Group's dedication to clean energy, practical STEM education, and industry-aligned innovation with two significant technological unveils created in-house at SurTech: SURVIA, an indigenous AICTE IDEA Lab robot, and a Wind and Solar Driven Mobile Charging Unit co-engineered by the institution's Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering alongside the Centre of Excellence (COE) – Livid Design Inc.
