Rajasthan Engages Its Diaspora in Kolkata and Highlights Prospects for Development and Business

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Government of Rajasthan, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has organised the Pravasi Rajasthani Meet 2026 in Kolkata, following up on the diaspora roadmap show held in Guwahati, to woo investment, entrepreneurial and developmental interest into the state ahead of the upcoming Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas on December 10, 2026. In a joint effort between the Department of Industries & Commerce and the Department of Domestic & Overseas Rajasthani Affairs (DORA), the summit saw top officials like Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Mr. Shikhar Agarwal, Special Secretary (DORA) & Commissioner of Rajasthan Foundation Dr. Manisha Arora, and Bureau of Investment Promotion Additional Commissioner Shri Jugal Kishor Meena, engaging in direct one-on-one business talks with top business owners and industrialists from the Eastern part of the country; addressing the gathering, Minister of State for Industry & Commerce Shri Krishan Kumar K.K. Vishnoi appealed to the diaspora to come back to their roots under the new theme ‘Viksit Rajasthan, Viksit Bharat’, adding that out of the proposed ₹35 lakh crore in investment proposals received in 2024, projects worth ₹9 lakh crore have already taken off, with a full growth report card expected to be unveiled during the flagship December convention in Jaipur.
