SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: On June 5, 2026, the first episode of the Bengali social web series "Ratanbabu," a realistic story about the pleasures, tragedies, and complicated family dynamics of middle-class life, is slated to debut. At a press conference on Monday in Tollygunge, it was announced that the series, which is being produced under the Adika Productions brand at the initiative of producer Aditya Ashok, will be formally released on the "Aditya Productions" YouTube account. Director Sanjay Das revealed at the ceremony that the public will be shown two half-hour episodes each month, which are written, screenplayed, and dialogued by Somnath Roy. The story centres on Ratanbabu, the title character, whose life experiences are similar to those of nearly every middle-class Bengali family as he deals with disappointments, unmet goals, and personal challenges. The plot reveals that Ratanbabu experiences a severe mental breakdown due to the impact of unfavourable circumstances, becoming incredibly lonely and silent. Nevertheless, his wife Mita's unwavering support and inspiration ultimately bring him back to the battlefield of life, resulting in a moving examination of interpersonal relationships and life philosophy. Sanjeev Mukherjee will play the title character of Ratanbabu, Madhurima Dutta will play his strong wife Mita, Manish Chakraborty will play Bholada, and three other artists will play key roles in the first episode, according to the creators. The show's underlying theme of optimism and resiliency is one that the filmmakers and crew are still very hopeful will have a lasting impression on viewers.
