News Desk, News Nation 360 : To stop the sale of fake Goodknight LV products in the area, West Bengal Police and Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), the firm that makes Goodknight, India's top household insecticide brand, conducted searches in Kolkata and South 24 Parganas. The raids, which were conducted with assistance from GCPL's investigative division, are an important step in halting the market's proliferation of counterfeit mosquito repellent goods. The local police and investigation teams raided multiple retail and stocking facilities suspected of trading in counterfeit goods based on actionable intelligence. A sizable amount of counterfeit Goodknight materials was seized as a result of the raids, suggesting a well-run business engaged in producing and selling counterfeit goods. Commenting on the issue, Ashwin Moorthy, CMO, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, stated that one of the biggest issues facing the FMCG sector is the proliferation of fake goods throughout the nation. In addition to being against the law, counterfeit or similar products are dangerous to people's health. Goodknight, a market leader in the home insecticide sector, is one example of how GCPL allocates a sizeable portion of its earnings to the development of novel products that keep improving customer service. They cooperate with their distribution network, local government agencies, and

customers to conduct routine quality checks of their products. Through this partnership with the West Bengal police, local distributors, makers, and retailers of counterfeit Goodknight items will face consequences. The authorities in West Bengal are cracking down on counterfeit household goods, and a major raid has been conducted in Kolkata and South 24 Parganas to seize counterfeit Godrej Goodknight products. In North Kolkata, a raid was conducted on S. Nawaz Stores located on R.G. Kar Road, where 1,702 pieces of counterfeit Flash LV twin refills were seized. Simultaneously, a raid was conducted on Sreehari Bhandar and Sarada Bhandar in South 24 Parganas, where dozens of illicit combo packs and 45 ml refills were seized. FIRs have been filed against the perpetrators, and the distribution and supply chain of these seized goods are being traced to prevent the further circulation of these products in West Bengal and other states. This raid clearly indicates the dedication and commitment shown by Godrej Consumer Products Limited in protecting its brand image and the safety and well-being of its consumers, and the raid serves as a warning to all traders dealing in the distribution of hazardous counterfeit products.
