News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Children's Welfare Association High School for Girls in Taalpukur hosted a cervical vaccination camp where 100 poor girls received vaccinations against cervical cancer thanks to a collaboration between the Cancer Foundation of India and the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna. The goal of the camp was to shield young girls from an illness that continues to be the top cause of cancer-related fatalities in India's female population. Speaking on the occasion, Chandreyi Mitra, President of the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna, commented that We think that by being proactive in the fight against cancer, we are not only saving lives but also building a better future for the whole community. This immunisation drive is a component of our larger initiative to build a future free from cancer. These young girls received two shots of the cervical cancer vaccine during the event, providing them with a critical defence against the crippling symptoms of the disease. The program ensures that young girls can lead healthy lives and closes the gap in cervical cancer prevention for the less fortunate. This camp served as evidence of the Rotary Club of Calcutta Avyanna's continued commitment to the empowerment, health, and education of women.
