According to Secretary Shubhashis Roy, RP Welfare Trust is a public trust-based organisation that is entirely focused on community service. Children at Langalberia, Sonarpur Block, South 24 Parganas, received educational materials on November 14, Children's Day. To shield the impoverished from the harsh winter, more than a thousand blankets were later given out at Tarapith. Additionally, Thanthania Kali Bari and Firingi Kali Bari in Kolkata host meals for the
underprivileged every Saturday. The Trust revealed that they are working on a number of welfare projects and that two or three more are in the works. They want to assist pilgrims during the Gangasagar Mela in 2026. Local politician Shyuli Mondal, renowned social worker Kanu Roy (Mejda), Trust President Sumita Roy, Vice President Sucharita Pal, and Treasurer Sujan Pal attended the blanket distribution at Tarapith on Monday. Sujan Pal attributes the success of such activities in Tarapith to the committed work of renowned social worker and journalist Mrityunjay Roy.
