News Desk, News Nation 360 : The founder of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Swami Pranavananda Maharaj, celebrated his 130th birthday with a large and vibrant parade in South Kolkata. Thousands of devotees, students from different schools and colleges, groups, and religious organisations formed the march after the mounted monks led it. Along with martial arts exhibitions, representations of various deities, and tribal Dhamsha Madal performances from Purulia and Bankura, people from other districts of the state attended the parade. started at 1:30 PM from the headquarters of Bharat Sevashram Sangha at Ballygunge, Kolkata, headed by Swami Bishwatmananda Maharaj, Principal Secretary of the Sangha, and with the presence of local councilor Sudarshana Mukherjee, on principal Kolkata roads like Rashbehari Avenue, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road, Ramesh Mitra Road, Sarat Bose Road, and Hazra Road and back to its point of origin; following the procession, a two-day Hindu religious and cultural conference with speeches by noted persons is to be organized at the headquarters of the Sangha on Tuesday and Wednesday, and special arrangements, with the assistance of monks and volunteers, are being made to facilitate devotees to worship Lord Shiva on Shivratri.
