SSEN to Telecast the 126th Beighton Cup 2025

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Shrachi Sports Entertainment Network (SSEN) collaborated with the 126th edition of the legendary Beighton Cup, one of the world's oldest and most famous hockey competitions. The event, which will take place from November 8th to 16th, 2025, will include 12 elite teams from throughout India contending for the coveted crown and will be telecast LIVE. A total of 19 matches are scheduled over nine days, with 15 taking place at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Hockey Stadium) and the remaining 4 at the Dumurjola Stadium in Howrah. The opening ceremony will take place on November 8th at 2:00 pm, followed by two matches, the first at 2:30 pm and the second at 4:30 pm, to mark the tournament's formal start. Ayan Banerjee, Chief Executive Officer, Shrachi Sports, stated that they were thrilled to be involved with a legacy as significant as the Beighton Cup. Their partnership was a tribute to the spirit of Indian hockey and those who have dedicated their lives to the sport. They anticipated that their relationship would motivate future talent and reinvigorate love for the sport in Bengal and beyond. As part of this agreement, SSEN helped promote Indian hockey by allowing live telecasts of 15 games from the Salt Lake Hockey Stadium. The program aims to bring Beighton Cup excitement to fans across the country while also recognising the sport's rich past. SSEN already broadcasts major tournaments, including the Calcutta Football League and the I-League. Furthermore, SSEN is the first to stream the Women's Bundesliga and the German Handball Bundesliga, demonstrating its legitimacy as a platform that brings both Indian and international sporting action to a large audience.
