News Desk, News Nation 360 : St. Xavier's University, Kolkata (SXUK), under the vibrant leadership of Rev. Dr John Felix Raj, is preparing for the 7th Convocation Ceremony on February 21, 2026, at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town. St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, a major convocation with Chief Guest Rev. Dr Arturo Sosa, S.J., Superior General of Jesuits from Rome, as the guest of honour, presided over by West Bengal Governor Dr C.V. Ananda Bose, and Vice-Chancellor Rev. Dr John Felix Raj, started developing infrastructure in 2017 with an outlay of ₹550 crore, almost

completing their 2nd Academic Building with classrooms, lab, library, and moot court, a 2,000-seater auditorium, and two additional smaller ones with 600 and 300 seating capacities, an MDP Block with 75 VIP rooms, and a plan for a separate sporting facility with two swimming pools for increased sporting training. Their Academic initiatives unfold B.Tech. in 2026, followed by M.Tech. courses, in addition to their Integrated MBA&B.Ed., Design & Nursing colleges, as well as a medical college. Their Executive MBA, in turn, brings in industry personnel with a corporate/hospital management course. Also in the pipeline, their NAAC accreditation, as per their new 10-criterion parameter, aims for 2026, with their 6th Academic Audit and an AI-based Learning Management System from their UK Partner "Shiksak," with assignment/test management/content delivery, scheduled to take place as per their "Vision 2030" plan of 10,000 enrollment. In addition, the institution has begun exploring a new location for its nursing and medical colleges. They're waiting to speak with the state government. It has been stated that they will initially create a nursing college for boys and girls, followed by a medical college.
