News Desk, News Nation 360: Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited has expanded its presence in West Bengal, having settled over 6 lakh claims worth over ₹3,200 crore in the state since its inception, with a robust network of 60+ branches and 650+ empanelled hospitals. As it continues to witness a buoyant growth trajectory in the region, the standalone health insurer has processed over 1.18 lakh claims exceeding ₹600 crore in FY26 and more than 33,000 claims valued at ₹140+ crore in Q1 FY27, with Business Head – West Bengal Atin Roy highlighting investments in outpatient segments like telemedicine, preventive check-ups, and cashless home healthcare in over 300+ cities. With a majority of cashless claims (92%) being settled within 3 hours and AI currently aiding in around 20% of routine cashless settlements, to scale it to 50% in 2 years, Star Health is eyeing widening financial safety nets and promoting deeper penetration of health cover in Kolkata as well as emerging semi-urban clusters.
