News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Bengal Provincial Bank Employees' Association (B.P.B.E.A.) hosted its 31st State Conference in Kolkata with great success. Bank workers staged a large and colourful rally to commemorate the event, marching from B.B.D. Bagh to Mahajati Sadan through the centre of the city with a strong message of solidarity and demands. The first session's attendance of more than 1,000 delegates and spectators greatly increased the conference's significance. Comrade C.H. Venkatachalam, General Secretary of AIBEA, and Comrade Amarjeet Kaur, General Secretary of AITUC, were the Chief Guests at the ceremony. The state of the nation's banking industry, worker and employee rights, and the need for organised movements were all highlighted in their addresses. The Bengal Provincial Bank Employees' Association (B.P.B.E.A.) successfully concluded its 31st State Conference. The event lasted for three days. The primary agenda of this conference was to discuss critical issues such as the protection of workers' rights, strengthening public sector banking institutions, and coping with the challenges of digitalisation. The union's participants analysed the impact of changing financial policies and discussed urgent issues that required immediate attention, such as job security and filling vacant positions. The primary agenda of this event was to enhance coordination with the All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA) and achieve national solidarity to resolve critical industry-related issues. The event was also an opportunity to discuss recent union activities that took place during early 2026. The event was an important milestone that reflected the bank employees' commitment to maintaining integrity in public sector banking.
