Suraksha Clinic and Diagnostics Conducts East Zone AMBI Workshop on Capillary Electrophoresis and Immunotyping

The workshop covered the principles of capillary electrophoresis, clinical applications of serum and urine protein electrophoresis, and patterns of interpretation. The workshop's organising chairperson is Dr Neepa Chowdhury, Section Head, Department of Biochemistry & LC-MS, Suraksha Diagnostics Ltd, Kolkata, and the organising secretary is Dr Sanchayan Sinha, Department of Biochemistry, College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital, Kolkata. The workshop was particularly beneficial for postgraduate students, researchers, and faculty members. faculty consisting of Dr Pinaki Sarkar (IPGMER & SSKM Hospital), Dr Neepa Chowdhury (Suraksha Diagnostics Ltd.), Dr Sanchayan Sinha (College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital), and Dr Anannya Ghosh (Suraksha Diagnostics Ltd.). The workshop included a detailed discussion of immunotyping's diagnostic applications, indications, and interpretations, including live demonstration and step-by-step electrophoretogram analysis. Designed to close the gap between theory and practice, the session highlighted Capillary Electrophoresis methods, encouraging experiential learning and interpretive skills among the participants. It was intended to promote conceptual knowledge, augment laboratory skills, and facilitate diagnostic precision through exposure to newer lab technologies. Aimed at postgraduate students, researchers, and professors, the program witnessed keen interest and appreciation for its interactive nature and clinical applicability. Dr Somnath Chatterjee, Chairman & Joint Managing Director of Suraksha Diagnostics, emphasised that initiatives of this nature resonated with the organisation's mission to empower prospective healthcare professionals by integrating scientific learning with patient-focused outcomes and innovation-based practice.
