SERVES FOR NATION

Updated: Oct 19
News Desk, News Nation 360 : West Bengal is renowned for its vibrant culture, talented craftspeople, and diverse range of artistic expressions. With its Durga Pujo campaign, Tata Tea Gold, the top tea brand in West Bengal, is making a comeback. In honour of the state's indigenous artists, the brand is releasing limited-edition holiday packs this year that were created in partnership with regional Bengali artists. These artists have used a variety of art media, including acrylic, oil, dry pastel, watercolour, and digital art, to bring their vision of Pujo celebrations to life on the packets. These festive bundles have been designed in partnership with renowned artists such as Goutam Sarkar, known for his realistic acrylic pieces; Gopal Naskar, who combines Indian mythological painting with the realism of modern times through dry pastels; Gourab Kundu, popular for loose watercolor expressions; Anjan Bhattacharya, popular for luscious, full-bodied oil paintings; and Joyeeta Bose, who adds digital art magic. Every artist reproduced the vibrant celebration of Durga Pujo—the beat of the dhaki on Shashti, the shankho's summons on Saptami, the fervour at Ashtami pujo, the elegant dhunuchi dance of Nabami, and the joyous sindoor khela on Dashami—giving a collectable set filled with nostalgia and festive vigour. Tata Tea Gold kick-started this year's festivities with a special media get-together on September 16 at Taj Bengal, Kolkata, in the presence of Puneet Das, President – Packaged Beverages, India & South Asia, Tata
Consumer Products. The festive packs were launched, along with live demonstrations of art by the participating artists, which left the audience enchanted with their artistic skills. In addition to this, the brand launched its first-ever tea festive TVC—a pioneering AI-driven film specifically designed for the West Bengal consumer—that begins in a Bengali household with steaming Tata Tea Gold and travels through Bengal's colourful streets from vibrant pandals to old residential areas, with the festive vibe quickly spreading. By capturing the mood of the campaign through 'Banglar Pujo ek Sonar chhobir mawto'—West Bengal's Pujo is like a golden canvas brought alive. Speaking at the launch, Puneet Das, President – Packaged Beverages, India & South Asia, Tata Consumer Products, stated that West Bengal is united by the feeling of Durga Pujo, which is more than just a festival. At Tata Tea Gold, their goal has always been to honour Bengal's ethnic pride genuinely and sincerely. Through their collaboration with these talented local artists, who have exquisitely brought festive customs to life, they have attempted this year to deepen their cultural ties. Every Pack design pays homage to the customs, feelings, and art that make up Durga Pujo. As the most popular tea brand in West Bengal, they are thrilled to offer their customers these festive packets, which will add even more specialness to their festivities.
