Techno India University celebrated Convocation 2026

News Desk, News Nation 360: To award undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, and gold medals to the graduates of the 2025–2026 batch, Techno India University, West Bengal, held its Annual Convocation 2026 Ceremony at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata. The grand event was graced by Chief Guest Dr Ashok Kumar Lahiri (Vice-Chairperson, NITI Aayog), who formally launched the Atal Incubation Centre - Techno Innovation and Incubation Council (AIC-Techno)—West Bengal's first premier national-scale, government-backed incubator aiming to support 500 startups over the next five years. Presided over by Chancellor Prof. Dr. Goutam Roychowdhury, Co-Chancellor Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, and Executive Director & Chief Innovation Officer Mr. Meghdut Roychowdhury, the ceremony also awarded Honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) degrees to a stellar cohort of national icons—including Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, singer Anup Jalota, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, author Sivasankari Chandrasekaran, Chandrayaan-3 Project Director Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, GI & HPB cancer surgeon Dr. Shailesh V. Shrikhande, CSIR-CMERI Director Dr. Naresh Chandra Murmu, legendary actress Sabitri Chatterjee, Infinity Group Chairman Ravindra Chamaria, and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar—celebrating academic excellence alongside nation-building and entrepreneurial innovation.
