News Desk, News Nation 360 : With a strong reliance on blood testing and other diagnostic procedures, modern medical research is developing steadily. The public, on the other hand, is generally reluctant to get tested because they typically think that if the findings are normal, doctors are ordering unneeded tests. This impression is not at all accurate. The Association of Laboratory Medicine (ALM) was founded to increase public awareness of this issue and empower physicians to use diagnostic testing to deliver more accurate therapy. This organization is led by top doctors from five important branches: Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Transfusion Medicine, and Laboratory Medicine. Their motto is "Better Health Through Laboratory Medicine." This group of specialist doctors hopes to exchange experience-based findings, encourage advanced technology, and enforce law compliance to enhance testing quality. Dr. Tamalkanti Ghosh, the President, said that exchanging experiences results in improved patient outcomes, particularly for complicated and critically ill cases. Dr. Ashwini Sengupta supplemented that continuous medical education will immensely benefit medical experts. Additionally, though a lot of work has been done in Laboratory Medicine in India, no exclusive organisation has ever catered to these specialists. This concept of bringing together physicians from these five disciplines was inspired by the Association for Diagnostic and Laboratory Medicine (ADML). The sponsors of ALM are Dr Pradip Mitra, Dr Debashish Banerjee, Dr S.M. Nadeem, Dr Shankar Sen Gupta, and Dr Susrut Sen.
