SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: A strategic Academia-Industry Partnership has been announced by the University of Calcutta's Department of Business Management and the Bengal Business Council (BBC). The partnership aims to support innovation, skill development, and future-ready career pathways for approximately 200 students each year in the university's flagship MBA-Dual Specialisation and MBA-HRD programs. The collaboration framework, which was unveiled in front of Vice Chancellor Prof. Ashutosh Ghosh, Registrar Prof. Debasis Das, Head of Department Prof. Sharmistha Banerjee, and senior BBC leaders like Chairman Avishek Auddy and Senior Vice President Subrata Dutta, incorporates entrepreneurs and industry mentors into classroom settings as guest faculty. By offering students practical industry insights, required internship opportunities—supported by member organisations like East India Pharmaceutical Works Ltd under Vice President Debarshi Duttagupta—and expedited placement avenues across the council's vast corporate network, this all-encompassing ecosystem complies with the mandates of the National Education Policy (NEP) and RUSA. Acting Dean Prof. Rajib Dasgupta and other university leaders stressed that this dynamic interface will act as a potent catalyst for regional economic growth, bridging the gap between textbook management theories and changing market dynamics to turn aspirational students into flexible, self-assured, and business-ready professionals for Bengal's talent ecosystem.
