The Bengal Super League Sets the Stage for the Knockouts

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Bengal Super League kicked off its knockout phase at the historic East Bengal Club, following the successful conclusion of a competitive and closely fought group stage. All four semi-finalists, JHR Royal City FC Malda | Murshidabad, Howrah Hooghly Warriors, Sundarban Bengal Auto FC, and North 24 Parganas FC, gathered under one roof ahead of the decisive matches. Rahul Todi, Managing Director, Shrachi Sports, stated that the end of the group stage illustrates the Bengal Super League's goal of providing competitive, high-quality football throughout districts. The response from clubs, players, and supporters has reaffirmed their long-term goals. As they enter the knockout phase, the competition's standard and intensity are expected to increase even higher. The Bengal Super League has entered its knockout stages, with only four teams remaining: JHR Royal City FC Malda | Murshidabad, Howrah Hooghly Warriors, Sundarban Bengal Auto FC, and North 24 Parganas FC. At a recent press conference, each team

was represented by their leadership. JHR Royal City FC was represented by head coach Saheed Ramon and captain Salman K; the Howrah Hooghly Warriors had Mohun Bagan legend Jose Barreto and captain Avilash Paul in attendance. Sundarban Bengal Auto FC had coach Mehtab Hossain and captain Richmond Kwasi Owusu in attendance, while North 24 Parganas FC was represented by coach Gautam Ghosh and captain Ankan Bhattacharjee. The conference also highlighted the role of technical officers and East Bengal legends Bhaskar Ganguly and Alvito D’Cunha, whose vast experience is the backbone of the league’s operations on a day-to-day basis. BSL committee members, such as League Commissioner Pranjal Banerjee and CEO Debaditya Das, were also in attendance to discuss the semi-finals, which are scheduled to take place in late January. The next matches, which will be intense and critical, are scheduled to take place at prestigious venues such as the East Bengal Ground and Kalyani Stadium as the league enters its final stages. Apart from the matches, the BSL is also an important platform for the professionalisation of district football and the utilisation of the local talent pool in West Bengal.
