Egyptian Players Dominate the Finale of the Kolkata HCL Squash PSA

News Desk, News Nation 360: The HCL Squash PSA Challenger Tour leg of Kolkata, in association with the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI), was held from 10th to 14th August, 2026, at The Calcutta Racket Club. This event, featuring 48 players from seven different countries such as India, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, and Germany in both men’s and women’s categories, witnessed a total prize money of US$9,000 per category. The Egyptian players ruled in the finals, with third seeded Seif Refaay dethroning first seeded Mohamed Gohar (6-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-4) for winning the title in the men’s division while in the women’s division, Sohayla Hazem defeated second seeded Menna Walid (11-9, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8). Approved by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and comprising 20 players among the PSA World Top 200 rankings, this five-day event proved to be very important for the emerging Indian players in getting exposure as well as PSA ranking points at their home ground.
