News Desk, News Nation 360 : To celebrate Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth anniversary, the Kalighat Sports Lovers Association organised a huge blood donation celebration. At this camp, around 2,000 people gave blood under the direction of well-known social worker Babun Banerjee. Subrata Bakshi, President of the Trinamool Congress's West Bengal State Committee and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), attended the event to commemorate this achievement and inspire the donors. Politicians Joy Prakash Majumdar and Sanjay Bakshi, social worker Ajit Bandyopadhyay, football players Dibyendu Biswas, Rahim Nabi, and Sanjay Majhi, renowned physician Sudipto Roy Chowdhury, boxer Ali Qamar, and a number of other well-known social and political figures were also present. For this admirable cause, people from all around the state

congregated at Netaji Indoor Stadium. What started out as just 504 voluntary donors in 1998 has grown into a major societal movement today. This camp's worldwide nature, which transcends caste, religion, and language restrictions, is its most notable feature. The Hindu, Muslim, and Christian communities' combined participation conveyed a potent message of human solidarity. Members of the Indian Armed Forces were among the contributors from Kolkata and throughout the state who took part in the campaign this year. The public is appreciative of the fact that blood donated through Babun Banerjee's effort is given to different sections of the state as needed, because the need for blood continues throughout the year. In light of the urgent need for blood, the dignitaries in attendance commended Babun Banerjee for creating a "humanitarian movement" through blood donation. They pointed out that in addition to giving people hope, his initiatives had raised the bar for social services. Prominent figures from all throughout the state came to the event to encourage and support the attendees.
