The Prestigious CII CAP 2.0 Award for Exemplary Climate Resilience is won by Dalmia Cement

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has bestowed upon Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a prominent player in the cement industry in India, the prestigious Climate Action Programme (CAP 2.0) Award 4th Edition. This noteworthy award emphasises DCBL's creative corporate efforts to combat climate change as well as its unwavering commitment to climate resilience and sustainability. The Indian government's Joint Secretary for the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Dinesh Dayanand Jagdale, gave the award. DCBL's creative approach to climate action demonstrates its commitment to sustainability. As an example of environmental stewardship, the company optimises resources and collaborates strategically. based on the corporate tenet that "Green and Clean is Profitable and Sustainable." With CO2 emissions at 463 kg per tonne FY23, Dalmia Cement has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the cement industry worldwide. As of 2040, it is the first cement company to commit to go carbon-negative. The Company Spokesperson said that the CII CAP 2.0° Award is evidence of Dalmia Bharat's unwavering commitment to sustainability. They are honoured to be at the forefront of climate action, implementing cutting-edge strategies that not only lessen their negative effects on the environment but also advance their company. This acknowledgement strengthens their resolve to develop ground-breaking solutions that raise the bar for the industry and promote a sustainable future for future generations.
