News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Progressive United Engineers Association, the largest engineers' organisation in West Bengal, has taken the initiative to mark National Engineers Day with a grand ceremony in Kolkata. The day falls on the birthday of Bharat Ratna educationist and renowned engineer Mokshagundam Visveswaraya. The event focused on the vital role of engineers in nation-building, the significance of advanced technology, and the importance of sustainable development. Technical seminars were conducted to enhance the skills and knowledge of engineers. Over 1200 engineers from various technical departments of the West Bengal Government attended the event. Various topics including "Role of Engineers in Nation Building", "Use of Advanced Technology", and "Sustainable Development" were discussed. Along with the Engineers Day celebration, technical seminars were organized to improve the quality of engineers.. Established figures from society and the chief builders of different departments were honoured. The event was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Dr Mansaranjan Bhuiyan, Minister of Water Resources Exploration and Development and Irrigation and Waterways Departments, and Chairman of the State Government Employees Federation. Other dignitaries, including the Hon'ble Pratap Naik Mahashayal, Hon'ble Indranil Sen, and leaders of the organizing organization, were also present. The day was organised to have Engineers' Day alongside Teachers' Day and Doctors' Day.
