News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently, Rotary Club of Belur, with the Rotary Club of Singapore Heartland and medical partner Narayana Health, successfully implemented the Urmila Devi Agarwal Memorial Cervical Cancer Vaccine Project at Shibpur Bhabani Balika Vidyalaya in Howrah, within 10 kilometers of Ballygunge, under Global Grant #25-72076, to provide 4,000 doses of CERVAVAC vaccines to at least 2,000 girls to fight cervical cancer; this beneficial project, courtesy of a large donation by Rtn. B.D. Agarwal in memory of his late wife, Urmila Devi Agarwal, was graced by Rotary District Governor Rtn. Dr. Krishnandu Gupta, PGD Ravi Sehgal, Convenor Rtn. Vishnuji Dhandhania, Jt. Convenor Rtn. Tarun Pal, major donor Rtn. B.D. Agarwal, club President Rtn. Anand Agarwal, Project Manager Alokapurna Ghosh, and other senior board members, marking an important step towards preventative healthcare in the area. Speaking on the occasion, a representative of the Rotary Club of Belur stated that for his kind donation in honour of Urmila Devi Agarwal, they are incredibly appreciative of Rtn. B.D. Agarwal. This program is a big step in protecting young girls' health and spreading knowledge about preventing cervical cancer. The tremendous support from the community inspires them, and they are steadfast in their resolve to advance improved healthcare. The local community enthusiastically participated in the event, and many parents attended the awareness workshop. With more than 500 girls in the target age range of 9 to 14, Shibpur Bhabani Balika Vidyalaya was the perfect place to start this health campaign.
